PRO TIP USE BACK BUTTON FOCUSING FOR TOTAL CONTROL • By default, modern cameras autofocus when you half-press the shutter button, and take the photo when you press the button fully down. However, many professional cameras have a dedicated AF-ON button on the back of the camera that allows you to separate the autofocus engagement from the shutter for more precise control. The exact setup will depend on your camera model, so check your manual and look in the autofocus options of your camera menu.

04 SHOOT A WILD WINTER WONDERLAND • The cold, challenging conditions of winter can present some unique photo opportunities
POWER UP IN COLD CONDITIONS • We thoroughly recommend the Cube2 from Hahnel, which allows you to charge two Li-ion batteries at once, and is available for many popular cameras such as Sony, Canon and Nikon. You can use the car-charging attachment to charge on the go to ensure you always have batteries fully topped up. We also like Hahnel Extreme batteries, which are great for shooting in cold conditions, as they have additional insulation and a higher charge capacity to power your shoot – a real benefit when shooting during winter.
