Psychic Kenna never dreamed there was a parallel world to her own, or that shed come to Earth on such a dangerous mission. Slave to the cruel tyrant Vandar, shes forced to learn about Earth and its people to aid in his plan to conquer the unsuspecting planet. TVs and cars are foreign to her, as is her immediate attraction to Talon, the man with whom she makes first contact. Talon is frightened by his own attractionhe has no desire to find his life mate, but nothing can separate him from the mysterious woman in his woods. Not her secrets nor his own. York continues her Moon series (Killing Moon, 2007; Eternal Moon, 2009), a strong blend of romance, fantasy, and science fiction. The story is muted, and the most compelling character is neither Talon nor Kenna but rather the mysterious Randall, whose story has yet to be fully told.
