KATIE FORGETTE • Among several productions this coming season, the Seattle playwright will premiere Mrs. Loman Is Leaving at ACT in her hometown this October; the play was first featured as part of ACT’s inaugural New Works Northwest Festival.

L. NYROBI MOSS • “Booked and busy” Atlanta costume designer L. Nyrobi Moss is currently working on seven shows and counting for the 2024-25 season, including The Color Purple at Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Ga., Dracula at Virginia Stage Company, and Welcome to Matteson! at Orlando Shakespeare.

Tales From BEHIND the Scenes • Five folks who help the show go on recall memorable points on their path.

Building a SENSORY-INCLUSIVE Future • Beyond sensory “friendly,” these theatremakers are pushing the frontier of theatre that is truly for all audiences.

How DoYou MANAGE? • Who better to take the pulse of a changing industry than with the folks at the hub of the wheel: stage managers.

We Can WORK IT OUT • Two new books lift the voices of designers and production workers on their art and their labor.

The UNDISCOVERED Country • Born in Covid lockdown, The Exodus Ensemble is shaking the New Mexico desert with immersive work, including their new ‘HAMLET.’

Salesman 之死 • In 1983, Arthur Miller accepted an invitation to direct Death of a Salesman with an all-Chinese cast at the Beijing People’s Art Theatre despite not speaking a word of Mandarin. Meanwhile, the Chinese ensemble, newly out of the Cultural Revolution, has never met “a salesman.” Will they be able to find common ground? Mostly based on true events, Salesman 之死 is a multilingual tale of cultural confusion, impossible translation, and unexpected encounters amid the chaos of theatre-making.

JEREMY TIANG: TRANSLATION AND TRANSFORMATION • An interview with the playwright
