黑暗中的笑声 (Laughter in Darkness)

本书一九三二年在柏林写成，书名为《暗箱》，在巴黎﹑柏林两地出版；一九六年由韦·洛伊译为英文，用原名在伦敦出版；一九三八年由纳博科夫本人作大幅度修并重译后在纽约出版，更名《黑暗中的笑声》。小说仿效二三十年代电影中盛行的那种廉价三角恋爱故事，开始就以电影为题，引出主要人物之间的关系。男主角欧比纳斯想用动画片这种技巧让古代大师的画作“活动起来”，提议与讥刺画家雷克斯合作。欧比纳斯对影院引座员玛戈一见钟情，“着了魔似的爱看电影”的玛戈一心梦想当影星，当她确信他属于能为“登上舞台和银幕提供条件”的阶层时，便决定与他来往。欧比纳斯为招待明星而举办的宴会，则为玛戈与昔日情人雷克重逢创造了机会，由此构成三角关系，直到小说以悲剧结束。( This book was written in Berlin in 1932, titled Dark Boxes, published in Paris and Berlin, translated by Wei·Loi in English in 1936, published in London with its original title, and in 1938 Nabokov himself substantially revised and retranslated it and then it was published in New York with the new title Laughter in Darkness. The novel follow the popular low-cost triangular love story popular in 1920s and 30s films. At the beginning, it has treated the film as the title to show the relationship between the main characters. Actor Obinas wants to use the new technology animation to make the painting of the ancient master “alive” and propose the cooperation with the caricature Rex. Obinas have fell in love with the seat guider of cinema Margot who “is addicted to watching the movie” and had a dream to be a movie star.
