与《儒林外史》、《红楼梦》大致同时问世于清乾隆年间，由豫人李绿园创作。《歧路灯》为清代长篇白话小说，是警世稀品，清代李海观作，一共一百零八回。李海观出生于今天的河南省平顶山市湛河区曹镇乡宋寨村。该书叙述书香门第子弟谭绍闻堕落败家，又浪子回头重振家业的故事。对封建社会的吏治、教育和当时市井社会的世态人情、风习流俗有广泛生动的描写，但多封建说教。
