NEW HOME, NEW KILN! • Back in 2019, we featured Imogen Taylor Noble, who was taking pottery into a residential care home. We recently caught up with her, and she has exciting news. It actually ties in nicely with Linda Bloomfield's recent columns on wood-firing, and if these inspired you to have a go, Imogen has just the place.

WE WANT YOU!

THROWN ART NOUVEAU VASE • This vase’s shape and decoration are typical of the Art Nouveau period, hence its title. However, if you like the shape but not the surface, decorate yours in your signature style to make it unique to you

LINDA BLOOMFIELD • RECYCLING CLAY AND GLAZE MATERIALS

SLABBED SQUARE VASE • This is a quick way of making a little vase from one slab of clay without building it in parts. Make several in varying sizes for a really great display

CONTEMPORARY TABLEWARE: Making Pottery You Can Use

CHRIS’S SMOKED FISH • This fabulous fish was made by a dear friend who passed away some years ago. She was a great potter who would have been thrilled that we are showing you all how to make it now. We have smoke-fired this version, but if you don’t have the facilities to do this, you could make the fish from your usual clay and decorate/glaze it conventionally

The Accidental Studio

The Great Potter y Throw Down • Have you been pining for this as much as we have? The Throw Down is finally back on our screens, kicking off with a festive celebrity special over Christmas

The Great Pottery Throw Down -New series

CLAY WORKS STUDIOS

TIPS & TECHNIQUES – FOR SMOKE FIRING AND RAKU • Jacqui Atkin begins this new series with tips and techniques to help you complete some of the projects with even greater success. In this issue, she focuses on burnishing and smoke firing
